Rue du Congrès is an elegant, recently refurbished apartment, situated in the "Carre d´Or", the sought after residential area in the very heart of Nice. It is Beautifully furnished in a very modern design with all the modern conveniences you would expect.
Everything you need is supplied, including a deck chair that you can take to the public beach. There is a shopping cart to take back your groceries, bottles of wine or champagne from the local supermarket.
There is also a panini maker provided.
There is one lovely spacious bed room with a double bed and lots of closet space, A pull out couch (in the living room) as another double bed and also a single roll out bed.
We also supply a travel cot for a baby or small child.
We also have a book library and DVD library for your pleasure
Linen and towels will be provided at a cost of €30 per double bed, or you can bring your own if you wish.
All other duvets and pillows are provided free of charge

At the end of the street, you catch a glimpse of the Mediterranean. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, as well as the pedestrian street and all the exclusive shops and restaurants.

The apartment is located on the first floor of the building. Look out the living room window, and you will see the street and - in the distance - the the sea. Across the street is a traditional "bourgeois" apartment building, in the typical nicois style. The apartment is situated on a corner, so there is light coming in from two sides - two French windows are in the living/dining room, and two in the bedroom and the stylish bathroom.

The Cote d'Azur/Provence Region

Halfway between Monaco and Cannes, with the Alps on one side and Corsica just off-shore on the other, it’s a pleasant, perennially sunny mix of hills, mountains and beaches, offering something very much for everyone. The fifth largest city in France, it’s second only to Paris in terms of tourism, airport traffic, and the number of museums and galleries on offer to travellers.

Most come to Nice for the climate; a good balance of public and private beaches provides plentiful opportunity for sand, sea and surf. But the city itself makes for a fascinating stroll, from the Promenade des Anglais on the sea front to the nooks and crannies of Old Town. And there’s the impressive sight of the Bay of Angels lit up after dark. Any month of the year is a great time to visit Nice. February sees the annual carnival to celebrate Mardi Gras, March the Nice Boat Show, and May the local Fete des Mai, along with the glitzy film festival in nearby Cannes.

There are, however, plenty of reasons to visit Nice whatever the weather. Shoppers will appreciate the ultra-chic Rue Paradis, the boutiques and workshops of Old Town, and the jewellery specialists of the Avenue de Verdun. Students of art, architecture and design are also well catered for. The Asian Arts Museum boasts cool, minimalist style both inside and out. The striking settings of the Museum of Art and History and the Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art contrast with the decidedly Mediterranean Matisse Museum, a villa set in the middle of an olive grove. And with a new Metro link up and running, its ahem, Nice-r to get around…

Nice Area

The apartment is situated in central Nice, not far from the famous Hotel Negresco on the Promenade des Anglais. It is in a quiet street, close to the pedestrian street, with restaurants and shops. It also close to the beach and about 5 mins walk from the Old Town.
Nice has a number of museums, is famed for its carnival, within striking distance of Cannes and its film festival, and Monaco with its Grand Prix. The Grimaldi Royal Palace and the Rothschild Gardens are thirty minutes' bus ride away. Further along the coast lies Menton, a favourite health resort with the Victorians, including Her Majesty, ant then italy

To get to the apartment from the Airport

From Nice airport, it is about 10 minutes by bus or taxi. The bus stop is only a minute away.
The buses will also take you along the French coast.

Exterior Facilities in Rue du Congres

This is a lovely quiet street just of the Promenade des Anglais. It is also adjacent to the bus station and the train station where unbelievably all bus journeys, e.g. Monaco, Cannes, Monte Carlo, San Tropez to name but a few all cost a fare of €1 per per person.

The living room, with a marble floor, has ceiling to floor french windows which make this apartment so light and airy. There is Centeral A.C. which is a must in Nice. It is furnished with an elegant leather sofa, and a modern dining table with leather chairs. The kitchen features wooden doors, breakfast bar and stools, dishwasher, fridge freezer, cooker, microwave cooker, pianni maker, toaster, electric kettle, and All the utensils you will need There is an Iron and Iron board and hair dryer supplied.
The bedroom is another lovely bright and airy room with lots of long windows.
It is very tastefully furnished in a modern design, It has a double bed, and ample storage space.
The apartment is on the first floor, but there is a lift from the ground foor if you need it.

If you decide to book a holiday you must then pay a booking depositto secure your dates. One month before you are due to arrive in Nice the balance of the fee will be requested and on payment of this, you will receive the keys together with a map of the area and directions to the apartment. You will get this in lots of time. You will also be asked to pay €50 key deposit which is refundable when you send back the keys.
