This new 3 bed apartment (part of a complex of 31 apartments) enters at ground floor level (just a few steps down from the pathway)and overlooks the community pool from 1st floor level. On either side of the hallway is a twin bedded room - easily made into doubles. The bathroom separates one twin and the master bedroom from which you can enjoy the sea view without even getting out of bed! A kitchen with most mod cons is sociable and compact and connects via an archway with the dining/living. The Master bedroom and living room lead out to the verandah which has more than adequate sun and shade to keep every punter happy and overlooks the pool and gardens. A very efficient fan cooling system in the living/dining/masterbed has worked very well in the mad hot summer - Master bedroom/living room are also airconditioned - extra charge EUR7 per day. The two twin beds are on the cooler side of the complex.

The Costa Calida/Almeria Region

The Costa Almeria is as varied as any of the Spanish Coasts. The coast is completely unspoilt. To the east of Almeria is the rugged and desolate coast of the Cabo de Gata - Nijar natural park. This is an arid desert landscape and the annual rainfall here is less than 200mm. It is sparsely populated, few villages and a very low population density. Visitors feel a sense of exploration here as many of the coves can only be reached on foot. This area is particularly popular with nature lovers and back-packers. The most popular coastal village is San José where restaurants are great value and an absolute must for the seafood lover.

>West of Almeria is the highly developed tourist resorts of Roquetas de Mar and Aguadulce. These have all the facilities of any modern resort to support the package holiday market.

At the north of the Costa de Almeria is the naturist beache of Vera, a number of new complexes are being constructed here. A little further south is Mojacar which successfully combines the popular beach holiday with the hillside white village that tourist love to explore.

Almeria city is worth a visit with the Alcazaba castle overlooking the metropolis.

To the west is the developing complex of Almerimar with Marinas, golf, hotels and many other facilities.

The old fishing port town of Adra lies further west. In spite of the interesting castle and assorted archeological remains, it is often missed by tourists travelling along the coastal motorway to or from the Costa Tropical.

Mojacar Area

Mojacar is located in the Sunny South East of Spain and relishes an average of 323 day of sunshine. It consists of two very distinct areas - the Playa (beach) with miles of beautiful clean sandy beaches and Mojacar Pueblo (village) 3 kms above the Playa on top of a hill, with spectacular views, narrow winding streets with whitewashed houses, romantic flower bedecked courtyards, and the promise of a surprise around every corner.

You can partake in a wide range of watersports on a Blue Flag beach or just relax at one of the chirinquitas (Beachbars), where you will be served cooling drinks to your beach beds. Everyone comments on the relaxed pace of life. This is one of the best new holiday destinations for all ,whether for just relaxing break or you can go Para gliding, rollerblading, horse riding, snorkelling, scuba diving, crazy golf, bowling, bird watching, quad biking, and Golf(see below).
Mojacar Puelo and Playa 'the best kept secret'. Whatever you are looking for Mojacar will charm you. Its easy to see why Artists and Writers have been captivated by the area for centuries. Mojacar Village with its wonderful history, Moorish architecture, unsurpassable views and its dramatic backdrop of the Cabrera Mountains. Spectacular Fiestas , such as the annual 'Moors and Christians' where enactments take place on the beaches and up in the village, the whole popluation revelling in the past.....the unforgettable costumes as they parade down to the Playa. Or just the day to day charms, the wonderful restaurants offering international cuisine and traditional tapas bars hidden down winding streets no wider than a donkey! Coffee (served with the traditional pastry)on the Terrace high above the plains.The weekly 'Market,' where the freshest fruit and vegtables are offered for sale by the growers, handcrafts, leathergoods and all manner of items are available as they have been for hundreds of years.

GOLF: Nearby courses include the challenging 9 hole Cortijo Grande just 10minutes drive into the valley beyond Turre. Marina Golf on the way to Garucca (5mins). Valle d'Este near Vera (about 20mins) and the unique Desert Springs - about 1hour.

TRANSPORT: While a car is desirable...for those who wish to travel by bus, there is a regular service which covers the entire beach area to Garrucha and also to Mojacar Village. There is also a service to Vera 8km.

There is limited shared parking next to the complex - but street parking is generally available close by.
Bicycles can be hired locally. Whilst the area around is hilly an rugged, it is not suitable for pushing/wheeling a wheelchair. However, for anyone who can manage the 5 steps into the apartment and once you have a car to bring your wheelchair up/downhill to the flat area - then there is no problem.
