The Villa is self contained and makes up a number of buildings on this estate called 'Podere Casanova' in the village of Pievescola, Tuscany. This self catering villa is ideal for 4 people. Access to the farm is through electronic gates at the main road, there is a designated parking area near the villa. Four generations of the same Italian family live on the farm. The villa has one double and one twin bedroom (the beds can be zipped together to make another double bed if desired)
The bathroom is large with a free standing bath and separate shower. There is a large living/dining area leads into out onto the outside space.Their is a fully equipped kitchen. The inside of the villa boasts exposed oak beams, terracotta floors, wooden shutters, and a wood burning open fire. There is a plentiful supply of wood from the private chestnut woods which adjoin the farm. There is a seating area outside with table and chairs for al fresco dining. The view from the cottage is of the hills, woodland and the nearby village of Pievescola.There is a large heated private pool with sun loungers to relax on. The villa is fully air-conditioned.
The cottage is located on the edge of the village of Pievescola (8 minutes walk into the village square). The village has a population of 600 people. The facilities in Pievescola include a bar, restaurant/pizzeria, wine bar, five star hotel with fine dining restaurant which is open to the public, hairdressers and church. The village is famous for wild mushrooms and a beautiful sculpture celebrating this can be found in the centre of the village. The town of Colle val d' Elsa is 8 miles away, this town has a large Co-Op supermarket, banks, post office chemists etc. The cottage is just 12 miles from Siena, 15 miles from the fortified town of San Gimignano and 35 miles from Florence. From Pisa airport you can reach the cottage in just over an hour.The family also own a fantastic restaurant- Molino il Moro in a neighbouring town. The restaurant is a converted water mill serving Tuscan cuisine as reasonable prices. It is certainly worth a visit.

Rental is from Saturday to Saturday in high season 1st April - 31st October. In the low season we take arrivals any day of the week.

The villa is luxurious with high quality linens and towels (Frette). The kitchen leads outside to the courtyard, from the courtyard you can access the cantina where the washing machine and ice machine are situated. The terrace/lawn is lit so you can sit outside late into the evening. There is a very large modern bathroom free standing bath, shower cubicle, WC, bidet and handbasin.
Both bedrooms are comfortable and furnished with oak furniture. The windows have traditional shutters. Due to the thickness of the old stone walls the cottage is lovely and cool in the summer and cosy in the winter.
The master bedroom is large and has a large double bed, the second bedroom is small and has twin single beds which can be zipped together if a double bed is required.

There are no extra charges levied. We also supply a generous welcome basket of farm and local produce for our guests to enjoy. A freshly prepared pasta dish is provided for your supper on the first evening.
A deposit of 10% is required when making the booking. The balance is paid in cash on arrival at the villa

Guest Book

This is a gem of a villa,spacious,beautifully furnished & equipped to a very high standard. The peaceful location, on a family farm in the heart of Chianti is ideal for visiting Siena and Florence. Everything you need is at hand and our Italian hosts were charming. The villa was everything we could have hoped for and more. We will be back!
