La Grange has a private terrace with comfortable garden furniture. The house has original stone walls, wooden beams, authentic furniture and a cosy wood-burning stove, making La Grange welcoming all year round.
The ground floor is split-level with the kitchen and dining area on the lower level. The sitting area is spacious and very comfortable. We have a policy of no television as we wish your holiday to be relaxing at La Grange.
The large, bright bedroom has a solid oak bed and seating area, with vaulted ceiling and a spacios en-suite with shower. The perfect place for a romantic holiday for two.

The Midi-Pyrenees Region
The Region of the Ariege in the Pyrenees is the most southerly of the departments in the Midi-Pyrenees. The seasons are wonderful, sun soaked summers, magnificent colours of autumn, a favourite time for walkers and mushroom pickers. Ideally close to the winter ski stations, only half and hours drive away. The whole region is steeped in history including many Cathar sites, such as the Chateau de Montsegur and Roquefixade. Toulouse to the north and Andorra to the south make interesting day trips and you will never tire of exploring the mountains.
Foix Area
Montoulieu is a small rural mountain village and yet ideally situated so close to Foix with its wonderful Chateau and also close to three good supermarkets. There is swimming at a little safe beach on the Ariege river where there is also tele-ski (silent water skiing) open July and August and other water sports. There are numerous caves to visit with prehistoric cave paintings, prehistoric park a wolf park, and the Forge de Pyrenee. The Tour de France is in Foix this year and there are many festivals on especially during the summer, such as an African three day event, a re-enactment at Foix castle and many more. The list is endless of activities all year round.
Getting There
Fly direct to Carcassonne with Ryan Air or to Toulouse with Aer Lingus from Dublin.

The private terrace is split level with its own entrance. There is a bench seat in an enclave in the mountain and a table and chairs and a parasol. The terrace is south facing towrds the Pyrenees.

Access to La Grange is by its own side entrance or steps from the road through another area of garden. We do not accept pets.

We provide beautiful bed linen and a large quantity of towels, including beach towels and also toiletries. There is always a selection of music with the stereo, plenty of books, chess and other games. There is a barbeque and charcoal, picnic basket, cool bag and wood for the stove. In addition we provide a very substantial 'starter pack', so you can travel very lightly as all the basic foods and some luxuries are already in the fridge and cupboards.
