The newly equiped studio is in a peaceful location of Bagneres de Bigorre opposite woodland and with lovely views of the town and the Pyrenees. It has it's own entrance accessed by a short flight of steps to a balcony with garden furniture. Guests are able to have full use of the garden and BBQ. There is ample parking within the property. It is a short walk to all amenities and takes around 15 minutes walk or 3 minutes by car to reach the delightful town centre.
The studio has a seperate kitchen/diner equipped with hotplate, combination microwave/oven & grill, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, coffee machine. There is a shower room with W.C. The studio contains a double bed, sofa bed, ample storage and TV with DVD. You can borrow DVDs from the owners free of charge. Books and games are also available.
Suitable for children, a cot can be provided, bed linen and towels are also provided within the rental cost.
The studio is fully independant of the English owners who live on site. French is also spoken.
Storage for sports equipment eg skis and bikes is available on site.

Bagneres de Bigorre Area

Bagneres de Bigorre is a cosmopoloitan spa town attracting people searching for cures of respiratory disorders. It is possible to sample these curative waters in the fabulous spa bath Aquensis which contains numerous whirlpools, a roof top sun deck with Jacuzzis and saunas and a hamman. There is also a casino if you fancy a flutter. The town has a museum and many walks start form or near the town. The famous pilgrim route of St Jacques de Compostelle passes near to the studio. There is a nearby 18 hole golf course with panoramic views of the Pyrenees as well as crazy golf in the town. Other attractions include the botantical gardens, Medous caves, a swimming pool, tennis courts and the bustling Saturday market where it is possible to sample the local produce especially the brebis cheese. There are many good restaurants in the town offering a range of cuisine with al fresco eating in the summer.
La Mongie, 25 minutes away, is the largest ski resort in the French Pyrenees and also offers guided descents from Pic du Midi where the is an obsevatory open all year with fantastic views over the Pyrenees. If you prefer cross country skiing, this is possible at near by Payolle throughvery picturesque runs and at Bareges part of La Mongie ski resort.
Bagneres is a good base to visit the sanctuary at Lourdes where many pilgrims come to each year, the UNESCO world heritage site of Cirque du Gavarnie for spectacular views, and Spain which is accessible via several routes. Day trips are also possible to the atlantic coastal towns of Biarritz and St Jean du Luz and also to the medieval city of Carcasonne.

Rental Details

Open all year, a non refundable deposit of 150 euros is requested on booking. Payment can be made by cheque, cash or Pay Pal.
A refundable damage deposit will be asked for on arrival of 100 euros.
There is an optional cleaning charge of 20 euros at the end of the rental period.
Changeover day is Saturday with departures before 10.00 and arrivals after 16.00.
It is possible to rent for periods of one night or more out of season
