There are amazing panoramic views from this gorgeous south-facing 2-bedroomed villa overlooking Luz Bay and village of Praia da Luz in Western Algarve.
The villa is split-level, with the hall, guest bathroom, kitchen and lounge/dining area on the upper, entry level to take full advantage of the fabulous sea views. Patio doors lead from both the lounge and the dining area onto a large sunny, veranda -a great place to eat al fresco, have a glass of wine and delight in the amazing sea views! Even from the kitchen the sea view makes food preparation a pleasure rather than a chore, and there are patio doors from here to the garden/BBQ area.
The bedrooms are downstairs and both have patio doors to the garden patio and pool area.
The master bedroom has queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, bidet and WC. The second bedroom has twin beds and is beside the shower room with WC.
A 5 minute walk gets you to Luz a low-rise friendly, family oriented village, which has small supermarkets, banks, Post Office, a few bars and cafe bars and a wide choice of great restaurants serving delicious foods from fresh local produce.
The Blue Flag beach, offering a variety of watersports, is 10 minutes walk from the villa. Other activities in the area include tennis, horse-riding, cycling and quad biking. Lagos Zoo and Zoo Marine are popular with families, as is a visit to one of the 3 water parks to the east. For walkers and nature lovers the coastal path linking Luz beach with Porto do Mos and Lagos to the east and Burgau to the west offers picture postcard vistas of the coast. Parque Naturel da Costa Vicentina, a couple of miles from Luz has wild lavenders, rosemary, cistus and bird watchers can see many unusual species in this extensive nature reserve.
There are many excellent Golf Courses in the area, the nearest being Boa Vista Golf, just 3 Km from the villa which has an excellent restaurant and spa facilities. The newly opened Espiche Golf, about 5 km, covers picturesque terrain and has very reasonable prices. Within a 30 minute drive you can also choose from Parque da Floresta in the west and Palmares, Penina and Alto Golf. All are open to the public and normal golf etiqtuette applies.
There is a regular bus service to the charming town of Lagos, 5 km away, which has layers of history and character within its ancient city walls. Its bustling, narrow paved streets are lined with a wide variety of shops, cafe bars and restaurants. It has a delightful promenade lined with palm trees and footbridge to the large marina and Meia Praia beach.

The Algarve Region
The Western Algarve has it all - an enviable climate, stunning scenery, miles and miles of sandy beaches and coves, magnificent Atlantic Ocean cliffs, mountains, a friendly atmosphere, great food and wines!
Praia da Luz Area
The historic regional town of Lagos, 5 Km away has lots of restaurants, cafe bars and markets within its ancient city walls and a lovely palm fringed waterfromt from where there is a footbridge to a large marina and Meia Praia beach. Lagos Zoo is very popular with children, as are the water parks to the east.
The famous spa town of Monchique is in the mountains North of Lagos offers stunning views of the South Western corner of Portugal. From Monchique drive to the West Coast where the coastal villages and beaches and coves will captivate you, each one being more beautiful than the last.
Sagres is about 25 km West of Praia da Luz. The old fort and museum at Sagres are associated with Henry the Navigator, from where he set off on his voyages of discovery of the New World in the middle ages. The most Westerly tip of Europe, Cape St. Vincent, and its lighthouse warns ships in the busy Atlantic shipping lanes offshore of the treacherous cliffs and rocky outcrops to avoid. The towering cliffs on this coastline are wilder, more stunning and more extensive than the Cliffs of Moher - and there is free parking wherever you choose!
Golf is widely available, with Boa Vista being the closest to Praia da Luz at 2 km. The newly opened Espiche Golf Course has very competitive rates. Parque da Floresta is 9 km away, and many others are within easy reach including Palmares close to Lagos, and Penina near Portimao.
