Our house was only completed in March 2007 and is newly furnished throughout. On the ground floor there is a very good sized lounge with 2 double sofas and a dining table with 6 chairs. There is a television with satelite channels as well as a DVD player and a CD player. Next to the living room is the well fitted kitchen with a table and 4 chairs. This in turn leads to a private patio with furniture which is directly beside the pool area. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms each with double beds and fitted wardrobes. There is a large bathroom with with bath, high pressure shower, toilet and bidet. Both bedrooms have balconies. In the basement there is another lounge area and a bedroom with 2 single beds and an ensuite toilet and shower.

This is a quiet area but suited to all ages. The climate is superb, rarely too warm tempered with light breezes and and average all year temperature of 21 degrees.

The Fuerteventura Region

Fuerteventura is the least developed of the main Canary Islands and has a special climate that is rarely cold and nearly always sunny but blessed with a gentle cooling breeze. The island is not much smaller than Teneriffe but is not at all as developed. Puerto Del Rosario is the capital and most of the local population live there. It is about 30 minutes drive from Caleta with a regular bus service. Fuerteventura has more beaches than you would ever likely visit. The main tourist areas besides Caleta are Corralejo in the North (about an hours drive) and Morro Jable , a favourite spot for German tourists, in the South. There are many unique unpopulated areas on the Island. The biggest danger for a lot of people visting Fuerteventura is they never want to leave.
For the shopping enthusiasts The Rotundas Shopping Centre in Puerto Del Rosario is the biggest centre in the Canary Islands and offers all the main brands and excellent value.

Caleta de Fuste Area

Caletta has restaurants, cafes and bars of all types from chinese to basic style (sausages, eggs and chips). They all offer excellent value. There are 2 golf courses close by. The Spanish open was held on one of them in 2004. There are lots of beaches and all types of water activities. There are plenty of shops and a variety of supermarkets. The Centro Commercial Atlantico Shopping Centre in Caleta is beautifully presented and has lots of shopping all under the one roof and a cinema and amusement complex. There is a market in the town every Saturday morning, this is not to be missed even if only to listen to the banter of the African traders.
Caleeta is an ideal place to sit outside a cafe or pub enjoying refreshment and just letting the world walk by.

Getting There

Caleta is about 15 minutes from the airport and a taxi will be about 12 Euro. There is a rank at the airport.
Buses leave from the airport direct to Caleta
Car Hire is competitive and there are many firms at the airport.

There is plenrty of safe parking in the immediate vicinity. A car is nice to tour the Island but all the facilities of Caleta de Fuste are a just a short stroll away and many people chose just to relax in the general area. The bus facilities are excellent and very cheap and you can get regular air conditioned buses to the other main areas of the Island. Fuerteventura is not at all over developed and there are no high rise buildings. The beach is in Caleta is man made and vey safe for all ages. For the more active there is a great variety of water sports available, Fuerteventura is famous for wind surfing. There are 2 fantastic golf courses only a five minute drive away. Green fees are approximately €50. Taxis are very cheap and of a great standard

Rental Details

Cots and high chairs can be arranged by prior request. Amuley Mar is a quiet area with some residents living there all year round. You might not want to go home either! It is not suited for same sex groups wanting a wild and noisy holiday. and we will not generally accept bookings from such groups. This is ideal for families and couples of all ages who want a holiday with practically guaranteed good weather and lots of food at great prices along with golf and water sports. Or maybe just relax and enjoy the sun.

The house has all facilities including all the main kitchen small and large appliances. There are air conditioning units in all the bedrooms. There is a safe provided as well. There is an ironing board and iron as well as a clothes horse.
Cots or high chairs can be booked by prior arrangement and by paying a small fee. This is a comfortable home that you will be happy to sit in at night should you force yourself to stay away from the restaurants and bars.
