The Fife Region
The ancient Kingdom of Fife (Dunfermline was once Scotland's capital), is steeped in history, and places to vist are all too numerous to mention. However, spend a day driving round the East Neuk visiting the old fishing villages of Crail, Anstruther and St. Monans, or play a round of golf on the hallowed turf of the Old Course in St. Andrews. Fish in one of the many lochs in the Kingdom, try your hand a clay pigeon shooting or archery, or brave a hazardous 4 x 4 off-road drving experience. The choice is so diverse, that even if you were to stay for a year, you could find something different to do every single day.
St. Andrews Area
A must in August is the Edinburgh Festival and the Military Tattoo. Throughout the year, the following are all worth a visit -
Glaimis Castle, Scone Palace, Blair Castle, Falkland Palace, Discovery Poiont, Royal Yacht Britannia, Falkirk Wheel, The Famoue Grouse Experience, The Deer Centre and Deep Sea World. The are, however, many many more.
