These luxury apartments are a great choice for those wishing either to enjoy a relaxing holiday, or to explore the wonderful Algarve.
They are located in an exclusive 4 star resort situated on a headland overlooking the crystal clear waters of the ocean and is just a short walk to the secluded beach at Senhora da Rocha. To the east is the town of Armacao de Pera with its miles of golden sandy beaches and to the west are numerous coves which punctuate the picturesque coastline
These Apartments are set in their own sub tropical landscaped grounds with swimming pool and bar area. The south facing one bedroom holiday apartment (sleeps 4) has air conditioning and offers a spacious living/dining room with a comfortable sofa bed, additional 3 seater leather settee, TV, DVD, stereo player and direct access to its outdoor terrace and garden area. For your pleasure, there is an interesting selection of books, dvds and cds. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for all your home comforts with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hob, oven and microwave. There is a generous size bedroom with ample storage, this also has access to the outside terrace. The property has 2 attractive bathrooms, one has a bath with shower, whilst the other has a shower cubicle.
Within a 20 minute drive of the Pestana Porches Praia resort there are 4 golf courses, 2 waterparks, 2 theme parks, 2 horse riding centres and a bird sanctuary. If all the sun, sand and leisure activities have not been fullfilling, then retail therapy can be obtained at Algarve Shopping with its variety of highstreet outlets.
Arrangements can be made for car hire or airport transfer. However, car hire is not essential as there is a bus stop within yards of the apartment.
The owners live just 5 minutes away and are always available to meet guests on arrival and to give advice where necessary, so as to ensure that your stay is as pleasurable as possible.

The Algarve Region
If you are undecided about where to holiday this year, then consider the Algarve.
The climate is one of the healthiest and most pleasant in the world and compares favourably with California. The winters are never too cold and the summers are not too hot, the air is fresh and clean and the environment is much less spoilt than in many other European countries. The Algarve still retains its old world charm and traditional values while playing a major role in the tourism and property markets. It is a place to relax or if you prefer it, to indulge yourself in the numerous recreational activities that the region has to offer.
Apart from its spectacular coastline and scores of glorious sandy beaches, the region also has an equally attractive hinterland that is covered in vineyards and groves of orange, lemon, olive, almond and fig.
Prior to the tourism boom, the main industries were agriculture and fishing. Although agriculture has declined over the years fishing is still important to the areas economy. Fishermen can still be seen in the early morning repairing their nets after unloading the previous night’s catch of fish and shellfish. The catch is then immediately sold to local restaurants ensuring that their customers are served only the freshest of fish.
The golf courses are among the best in the world they are stunning in design and suit everyone from beginners to scratch players. There are a number of international tournaments held in the region throughout the year that attract the worlds best golf pros.
Armacao de Pera Area
Within a short drive of the apartment there are 7 golf courses, 2 waterparks(summer only), 2 theme parks and Algarve shopping with its 9 screen cinema,ten pin bowling and designer outlets. In addition to the large number of beaches and coves that are nearby the inland region offers an interesting alternative with the historic town of Silves and the Spa town of Monchique being most popular. For birdwatchers, the variety of wildlife at Pera marsh should not be missed.
