The community is entirely self contained with an 18 hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, 5 Star Hotel, supermarket, pharmacy,various restaurants and bars,gymnasium, communal pools and children play areas.

The Costa Calida/Almeria Region
The superb beaches of the Mar Menor with its warm, calm waters are a short 15-minute drive away and most are wheelchair accessible. The closest beach is Santiago de la Ribera a typically Spanish village that has great tapas and fish restaurants. Los Alcazares also has nice beaches and the old town boasts an unspoilt look with some good restaurants and bars. For a livelier atmosphere, you can head north towards La Zenia, near Torrevieja, or go south to the La Manga strip.
There are many interesting towns and villages to visit in the region including: Cartagena - the old capital of the region founded by the Carthaginians. Murcia - the current capital of the Murcia region, with its cathedral, shops, cafes and tapas bars.San Pedro del Pinatar - has a nature reserve on the salt flats and the famous mud baths are said to heal skin complaints and rheumatism. Flamingos make their way to Africa via this spot each September.
La Torre Golf Resort Area
The La Torre course was designed to international championship standards by Nicklaus Design. It has 18 holes, 4 sets of tees and a par of 68. It features over 5 hectares of bunkers, and 3 large lakes. The greens are quite fast! As with all the Polaris World golf courses, they are designed to be enjoyed by both beginners and more challenging for experienced players. La Torre has close links to the Mar Menor Golf Resort and residents can take advantage of reciprocal arrangements with the sister resort. The 5 star clubhouse has a well-stocked golf shop, a driving range and practice green, plus bars and a good restaurant. Carts, buggies and clubs can be hired and tuition is available. World famous La Manga Club with its three 18 hole golf courses is a 20-minute drive away and, as Murcia is rapidly emerging as the golf capital of Spain, there are numerous other golf courses within easy reach of La Torre resort.
Balsicas and Roldan are small Spanish towns offering banking facilities and some shops and restaurants. Both are 5 mins by car.Cartagena is an historical port with many good bars and restaurants plus a ruined Roman theatre - 30 mins by car.Murcia is 20 mins away, inland. It has a beautiful cathedral, excellent modern shops and plenty of high quality restaurants and tapas bars.
Getting There
The resort is 15 minutes from San Javier(Murcia) airport and 1 hour from Alicante. Almeria is approx 2hour away.
A "meet and greet" package(4 weeks minimum notice)is available from San Javier and Alicante, whereby you will be transported to and from the resort, dropped to your door and fully instructed on facilities, utilities etc. A "Welcome Pack" is also available for those who wish to have the fridge etc stocked upon arrival.
