The Tuscany Region

Tuscany is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The history, the architecture, the scenery, the food and the people have made generations of tourists fall in love with it. Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pistoia, Pisa are all worth at least one visit and yet, if you move away from the main "tourist paths" you may still discover something new, something special and exciting.
If you wish to really explore Tuscany, then the best months are April/May and September/October. If you wish to relax and enjoy the sunshine by the pool then June, July and August are the months for you.
Please remember that August is the month in which most of the Italians are on holiday too, so if you are planning a shopping holiday this might not be the best month for it.

 

Vinci Area

Vinci is a small farming village by the Montalbano hill.
It has 2 museums dedicated to the life and works of Leonardo and every year from April to June there are events, lectures and exibitions to commemorate Leonardo's life.
In July there is the village fair that concludes with a beautiful display of fireworks.
Throughout the summer there are fête and events in all the surrounding villages with music, food and fireworks.
In Autumn there is the grapes harvest, the olive harvest, the truffle season in S.Miniato, chocolate fairs i Florence and then in Monsummano Terme.

Activities:
The Montalbano hill used to be the hunting reserve of the Medici family. Part of the wall that used to enclose the game is still visible today. If youlike walking there are trails you can follow that will let you discover little villeges and hamlets as well as woodlands and fileds all around the Montalbano hill.
Not far away from here is the Padule di Fucecchio nature reserve which is a very large marsh: a great place to visit for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

 

Getting There

We are conveniently placed between the airports of Florence,(Firenze) and Pisa which are both served well by a number of airlines particularly British Airways,(Pisa and Florence) and Ryanair (Pisa).

All apartments have access to the patio area or a private balcony in the case of the Mansarda with "al fresco dining" facilities.
and with a stone BBQ on which to cook the very tasty Florentine steak.
For our younger guests we have a swing, a sand pit and a small garden house.
For all our guests we have a swimming pool (5mx12m) and whirlpool, terrace with table and chairs, sun bathing area with sun loungers and parasols and stunning a stunning vista.

 

Rental Details

Children under the age of 3 stay free of charge and we will happily provide a cot and a high chair.
We ask all our guests not to smoke inside the apartments, but to use the ashtrays provided in the patio area.
During high season we rent from Saturday to Saturday, but during low season we accept bookings for less than a week stay and we are flexible with arrival/departure dates, so please ask.
