The Algarve Region

The province of the Algarve is the southern part of Portugal which stretches from Vila Real Stª Antonio to the most western point at Sagres. The coastline has beautiful sandy beaches with rugged cliffs and is one of the top European holiday destinations. The Algarve caters for all tastes, sports & golf enthusiasts will find ideal conditions and top class facilities as weather conditions are perfect. There are several exciting waterparks, Zoo marine and horse-riding. The beautiful town of Lagos with its narrow cobbled streets has plenty of shops, supermarkets, music bars and first class restaurants. There are a wide choice of lovely beaches and the town centre is within 20 minutes walking distance from the apartment. There is a modern Marina with plenty of shops, bars & restaurants which is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Those who like water sports can find plenty of activity in this area, there are also daily boat trips to the grottos and to see the dolphins.

 

Lagos Area

Lagos is a truly beautiful typical portugese town and will appeal to those who want to see the real Algarve.
The town has narrow cobbled streets that are pedestrianised with quaint restaurants,bars and typical portuguese architecture. The awardwinning marina is a hive of activity both day and night with restaurants, bars and you can book many differant boat trips here including dolphin watching which is highly recommended.
The town has a fishing harbour where the local fisherman can be seen bringing in their daily catches to the fish market.
Lagos is a historic town with many places of interest to visit with old churches,museum and buildings to admire.
By day you can enjoy a walk along the promenade, have a great day shopping or enjoy a coffee at the marina watching the world go by. The long sandy beach of Meia Praia is 4.5km long and never overcrowded even in high season.
By night the town comes to life with fab restaurants and bars . There are street entertainers and musicians for your entertainment and Lagos has many festivals throughout the year with fireworks and concerts.
If you want to travel around and see more of the Algarve there is both train and bus stations in the town and so car hire is not necessary.
Great days trips for the family are the many waterparks around the Algarve or Zoo marine with its dolphin shows and funfair.

Fly to FARO with Ryanair or Aer Lingus from Dublin
Fly to Faro from Cork with Aer Lingus.
Fly to Faro from Belfast with Aer Lingus and Easy Jet.
Car hire available at airport or online before (45mins to drive)
Transfer bus from airport
Taxis available at airport (can give contact deatails)
Regular daily train service from Faro to Lagos and then its 7 minuites walk to apartment

This apartment is available for weekend or midweek breaks as well as weekly holidays.
Rates are given for weekly stays with a maximum of 4 people.
A 30% deposit is required to secure booking with balance due six weeks before arrival.
We request you vacate the apartment before 11am on day of departure and the apartment would be ready for your arrival at 2pm. However this can be flexible depending on bookings.
