There are many fine sandy beaches in the area ie Old Head, Siver Strand, Carramore and Bertra with the nearest less than 1km from the house. Daily ferry access to the islands is from Roonagh pier which is 2kms from the house. Other popular attractions include Croagh Patrick-the pilgrimmage mountain 15 kms away and Marian Shrine Knock is approximately 60 kms away. Westport town one of the most popular holiday towns in the west of Ireland is 25kms away.
