The Algarve Region

There are many places of interest to visit, and old churches and museums to admire.
If you want to travel around and see more of the Algarve there is both train and bus stations in the town and so car hire is not necessary.
Great day trips for the family are the many waterparks around the area such as Slide and Splash and Zoo Marine.
The always popular gypsy market is in Lagos the first Saturday of each month.
There is a variety and standard of restaurants which is seldom seen anywhere. Value for money is guaranteed.

Lagos Area

Lagos offers tourists a mix of history, old-world charm and entertainment.
The town itself is a major fishing port where the local fishermen can be seen bringing in their daily catch to the fish market.
The beaches around Lagos are some of the most beautiful of the Algarve, like Meia Praia, just 10 minutes from Alba Villas, whose sands stretch for 4 km (2.5 miles) and Praia de D’ Ana, which can be reached within a 15 minutes walk.
Nearby Lagos marina is a hive of activity both day and night with restaurants and bars and here you can book many different both trips, including dolphin watching. The mediteranean climate is conducive to all activities in the region.

Getting There

Fly to Faro airport with Aer Lingus, Ryanair or many other airlines.
Travel to Lagos along the A22 using car-hire,taxi train or bus. Approx 45mins.
