Ideal for one or two families, this lovely contemporary villa is close to the long sandy beach at Beg Meil, where there is a beach club for children. It is just a short drive to a choice of vast white beaches all along the south Brittany coast.

There is an open-plan living room with dining area with large table, comfortable seating and television. This is a very pleasant light room with two sets of French windows opening onto the garden. The kitchen is separated from living area by a counter bar; it is very well equipped with modern cooker, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine and a drier in the garage. Bedroom one is on the ground floor and has a double bed and an en suite shower room. There is a separate W.C. Upstairs there is a reading area with comfortable seating. Bedroom two has a wide double bed; bedroom three has a double bed and a single bed; bedroom four a single bed. There is a very attractive bathroom with corner bath with shower over it, and W.C. The house is available all year round and has electric heating.

The Brittany Region

The house is 2km from Fouesnant which has a good range of shops and restaurants. It is about 3km to the beautiful sandy beach at Begmeil which has a children’s club. There are many activities available nearby including water sports, canoeing, diving, tennis, horse riding and golf. There is a large indoor water park, Les Balnéides, at Fouesnant. The property is about 10km from the chic resort of Bénodet, 14km from Concaneau famous for its ville close or walled city, and 20km from Quimper, a beautiful cultural town. This is a good area for cycling and many of the roads have cycle lanes. Bicycle hire can be arranged if requested in advance.
Brittany is well known for its gastronomic delights, and there are abundant opportunities here to sample fresh sea food, delicious crepes and galettes, melt-in-your mouth butter biscuits and locally produced cider.

Finistere Area

Regional cider festival - 3rd weekend of July.
Religious pardons with traditional Breton meals and costumes, dancing and processions - throughout the year.
Fest-Noz and Fest-Deiz - advertised locally - night and day festivals with music, dancing, food and general merry-making in the Breton style. There are actually too many festivals to mention, although our favourites include the Fête de Filets Bleus at Concarneau and the Festival de Cornouaille in the lovely historical city of Quimper - information is always available from tourist information offices.
Finistère is perfect for walkers and nature lovers, with its coastal path and nature reserves teeming with wildlife. It is also the land of myth, legend and history - don't miss the standing stones at Carnac!
There really is something for everyone in this spectacular region.

Fly Aerarann from Cork to Brest, from Cork, Galway, Kerry or Waterford to Lorient; Fly Aer Lingus from Dublin to Rennes.

Refundable damage deposit EUR 200, cash. Final clean, EUR 50, compulsory. Bed linen (but not towels) may be hired EUR 12 per bed. Supplement for electric heating. Babysitting may be arranged if requested in advance. Outside July and August there is a reduction in price if the house is occupied by 4 people or less.
