This Beautifully stylishly Duplex Townhouse is splendidly located just 400m from the award winning Falesia Beach and just 10 mins drive from Vilamoura and Albufeira. It is only 30 mins from Faro Airport and the world renowned Sheraton Pine Cliffs Resort and Golf Course is practically on the doorstep.

Nearby Acoteias has an excellent selection of restaurants, newsagents, shops, supermarkets, bank, a taxi rank and bus stops. For your convenience, located across the road from the house is a pretty shaded square with a great selection of local restaurants, bars (with pool tables), cafes, newsagent, supermarket and gift shops. In high season on a Saturday night there is a BBQ night held in the Square that has proven to be very popular with familes.

The townhouse is one of just 6 houses on a small exclusive condominium built around a large pool and landscaped gardens, thus ensuring a delightful area for swimming and sunbathing. Steps lead to the pool and are gated. Sun beds and umbrellas are provided for use at the pool or in the landscaped gardens of the complex. The 2 bedrooms with a family bathroom are located on the second floor of the house. The double bedroom has a large balcony overlooking the gardens to the front and the second bedroom with single and double bed overlooks the Sherton Hotel Resort to the back. A spacious and sun filled lounge leads out onto a large terrace area with whicker sofa, two armchairs and coffee table - perfect for a pre dinner drink! The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped and there is a second bathroom located on the ground floor. There is a built in BBQ located just outside the kitchen area for easy use.

Just 400 meters away is the award winning Falesia Beach with its stunning red rock cliffs and golden sands beach. The longest beach in the Algarve, it offers an excellent choice of facilities including parasols, sunbeds and in high summer there are water sports available. The beach is ideal for walkers and there are a limited number of bars and restaurants all offering various mouth watering cuisines to suit all tastes including fantastic fresh sea food. The house and area are ideally located for families and couples who prefer not to drive but want to be near all amenities as well as within walking distance of the Beach.

The Algarve Region

The Algarve is one of the world's most attractive holiday destinations. It is not over-developed and the coastline with its miles of golden beaches, dunes and coves enclosed by rocks and cliffs remains completely unspoilt. A few miles inland and life is much as it has been for centuries, with orchards, farmland and green meadows. Towards the hills there are terraces dotted with almond and fig plantations. The mediterranean plants and trees put on a magnificent show throughout the year and there are plenty of nature parks and sanctuaries along the whole of the Algarve that attract many animals and birds.
The Moors left a considerable legacy which can still be seen today in the medinas, fortresses and mosques they left behind as well as being reflected in the traditional Algarvian architecture and the way of life of the people.
The Algarve region is blessed with a wonderful climate, ideal for swimming, sunbathing and water sports in summer, and mild enough in spring, autumn and winter for tennis, golf, clifftop or countryside walking, exploring and sightseeing.
Places of interest include the region's capital Faro and its old town, Loule and its market situated in a recently renovated Moorish building, Silves and its red fortress, Caldas de Monchique for its thermal waters, Portimao and its old town and port, Lagos for its vitality and historical interest and Cabo de S. Vicente with its imposing light-house.

 

Albufeira Area

Falesia Beach is midway along the Algarve Coast between Vilamoura and Albufeira. A striking feature is the Red Sandstone Cliff face which affords magnificent views over the sea. On top of the cliffs and all around the area are sweetly scented pine trees. There are gently graduated wooden steps down to a 15k. golden sandy beach .The beach has a cafe and Sun bathing facilities are provided in season. From here walking west at low tide, for half an hour you will reach the little fising village of Olos D'Agua. If you walk on the beach to the East within an hour you will arrive in Vilamoura. Another beautiful walk is along the cliff path towards the east; if you continue for one hour you will reach Vilamoura.

There are many major attractions for all the family to enjoy including Zoo Marine (where you can swim with the dolphins), horse riding on the beach and some brilliant fun filled waterparks all within a half hour drive of the house. Locally there is golfing, tennis, horse riding and a sports facility. 2 large shopping centres are 'Algarve Shopping' in Guia and 'The Forum' in Faro just 20-30 minutes by car. The Algarve Shopping, is a large mall which is approx. 15 minutes drive away. Here you will find a variety of shops, a big supermarket, a bowling alley, a multi-screen cinema (most films are in English with Portuguese sub titles) and a food hall. The water parks are within easy reach - Aqualand and Slide & Splash being the most popular. The parks all provide buses that will pick up you up and return locally. If you want to get away from the coast for the day then a drive to Monchique and Foia (the highest point of the Algarve) is highly recommended. On the way you could visit the castle in Silves and stop for lunch of chicken Piri-Piri in the small mountain town of Monchique. It will take you less the an hour to get there. Alternative ways of exploring the Algarve are by joining one of the many jeeps that head out each day (high season) to explore the unspoilt Algarve. This is a great day out for the family and will pick up and drop off in the area. As Acoteias is ideally situated between Vilamoura and Albufeira there are plenty of great boat trips leaving from both Albufeira and Vilamoura marinas everyday. You can choose from a full or a half day and this can often include a trip into the caves and grottoes of the beautiful Algarvian coast line. If you fancy a drive into Spain then the border is only a 50 minute drive and Seville approx two hours depending on traffic.

Getting There

We are flexible with arrival days as a lot of the low cost airlines fly mid week. Check in time is 3pm and check out 11am but again this is also flexible and will be advised accordingly.

Fly from Waterford or Galway with Aeraran during high season
We can arrange for a taxi or minibus transfer to meet you from the airport.
It takes approx. 30 min to the villa from Faro Airport.
Car hire is not essential for this villa unless you are planning to explore the Algarve. Car Hire is available at Faro airport and we can also arrange this from Faro Airport for you or if you prefer it can be delivered locally.

There is a large swimming pool (shared just with the other residents) with a lawned area for sunbathing. Steps lead to
the pool and are gated. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided for use at the pool or in the lanscaped gardens of the complex. There is a portable BBQ located just outside the kitchen area. The condominium itself sits in spacious grounds of mainly grassed areas and is gated for extra privacy.

 

Rental Details

This accommodation is most suitable for families and couples. For families wishing to travel together there are two other houses available on the complex - Ref 11739 and Ref 11747 . Cot (€20) and highchair (€25) are available on request. Sorry no pets are allowed. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels please. Guests are kindly requested not to smoke inside the house but to use the outside areas. Check in time is 3pm and check out 11am but this is flexible and will be advised accordingly.

Bedroom 1 on 1st Floor with double bed leads onto a large balcony over looking the front gardens.
Bedroom 2 on 1st Floor with 1 single and 1 double bed overlooks the Sheraton Hotel Resort to the back of the house.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided on arrival for the relevant occupants. A light cleaning service with linen change is provided mid stay for all bookings of 7 days and more. Extra Cleaning can be provided at a cost (please request when booking).

Note: A 25% deposit is required to make a reservation.
The balance is due 6 weeks before your date of arrival. A refundable breakages/damages deposit of 200 euros is required to be paid in cash on arrival. Providing there is no damage or breakages this will be refunded on your day of departure.
A minimum of 5 days rental is accepted and rates will be advised on request.

Guest Book

Just finished an amazing week here in Acoteias, very peaceful and weather was fabulous. The Villa - what a beautiful house - has everything I needed, very comfortable - just did not have enough time here to really appreciate it. The restaurants in the square are great and very reasonably priced. The local supermercado is very convenient and has everything you need. I had a fantastic holiday here - a big Thank You From Sarah Ireland.

Firstly a big Thank you for letting us rent this beautiful house. We thought the house had everything and it was a very comfortable stay. The area itself is fantastic, not overrun with masses of other tourists. Totally unspoilt and hope it remains so from Tony & Caroline.

We had a lovely time. The house was just super, with all the home comforts - actually better than my house!! It was the perfect place to chill out. It is just so brilliantly located with everything there if you want it or you can just chill from the Jones Family Mid Wales.
