The Agadir Region

AGADIR THE MIAMI OF MOROCCO so named because it is a very modern city with liberal views on western living, filled with too many bars and restaurants to name it offers good value for money holidaying. Its beach is one of the largest natural sand beaches on the western African coast and is monitored with lifeguards and very safe for children. You can rent a jet ski, go waterskiing, or sailing or fishing, or retire for a beer in one of the many beachside cafes. Its active fishing port is open to the public with locally priced fish restaurants offering freshly caught and cooked seafood at less than £3 per plate. Fishing trips are good value and add up to a healthy day out. The crew take the bread and salad, you catch the fish, they barbecue it, you eat it, marvellous. Agadir has several artisan centres where all manner of art, gold and silver jewellery can be bought at bargain prices.

GOLFING :
Picturesque Dar Es-Salam Royal Golf is set in a 450 ha forest of cypress, palm, eucalyptus and cork-oak trees on a gently rolling terrain with water coming into play. Each year it is home to The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Trophy, the club is situated 5 miles from the apartment. Agadir enjoys 350 sunny golfing days neither too cold in winter nor too warm in summer, and green fees are very reasonable. There are 3 golf clubs within 3 Miles taxi ride from the apartment (one 9-hole and two 27 hole).

Morocco is fast becoming one of the new top choices for carefree sun-assured holidays. More forethought from the Moroccan government, building a mass of infrastructure, resorts and new motorways, adds to the attraction of morocco. Right now sees the finishing touches to a new motorway linking Tangier to AGADIR, a safe 12 hour journey from Spain, over 600 miles into the tropical section of southern morocco, so far south that bananas grow outdoors, and taste like bananas used to taste. AGADIR is located just within the tropics, shielded by the massive Atlas Mountains to the north, and bathed in southern Atlantic sunshine, it’s so mild not even the trees bother to shed their leaves in winter. It is neither cold in winter, nor excessively hot in summer, for months on end, it hovers around 30c (86f) with low humidity most of the time. Good news for people struck with northern maladies, as any doctor will confer. Warm pleasant evenings are enjoyed by the locals, a time to stroll, socialise, and breathe the night air. Southern morocco is steeped in history, just travel a few kilometres outside of the city and you will think you have travelled through a time warp! The Berber villages have changed little over the centuries; the people are warm and friendly and will welcome you.

Terms and conditions of rental: A maximum of 6 persons can occupy this apartment rental payments are not based on the number of occupiers. No security deposit is required for citizens holding European passports, just photo copies of the passports of the persons intending to occupy the property. No pets. Smoking allowed. Upon confirmation of your booking a 30% deposit is required, by bank transfer. Air travel clients are met at Agadir airport and settled into the property. Clean towels and bed linen are supplied, as is gas and electricity. A laundry service is available, at a small charge. - Thank you for your hospitality.As photos suggest a lovely place and spent November here 4 children and myself and wife and 4 Children.Beach by taxi 20 MAD max per 3 per peugot less (£2), same for Marjane (£2), Biggest supermarket in Agadir they sell western food although the local tukker in tasty and at £3 a plate good value. The whole time we were there great weather 28-32 C Everyday. Fantastic value, and a further thank you for the door to airport, free transport. Great hosts..............
