There is a local pub which is just 3 minutes walk away from the Holiday Home in Tipperary, where you can find good beer, friendly locals and great Irish music. The Farmhouse is perfect for Golfing Holidays, because the golf course is only 10 minutes away and weekend golf groups are very welcome. Cashel is 13km away and you can reach the local village after just 3km. There are plenty of attractions to visit, more than 40, the Rock of Cashel and the Swiss Cottage to list only two of them. We can provide guidebooks on request, on arrival.

The Tipperary Region

The County Tipperary has many historical and geographical places of interest for the most discerning tourist, because it was one of the first to be established in the 13th Century. Some of the Highlights are:

Dundrum Area

As there are many woodland walks available to enjoy, the local area is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast. There is a great choice of local golfing and swimming in Tipperary town, as well as plenty of restaurants for those nights out.

The Rock of Cashel -the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster- might provide the main highlight of the area. There is an interesting collection of Medieval architecture and Celtic art with many buildings atop the Rock.

Dundrum:
The Celtic Plantarum,main fitures 60,000 plants containing over 2,5000 species of tree plants and shrubs, miles of pathsand walkways.Waterfalls fresh water lakes, meny decorative fish add to the overall effect.

The river Suir is a noted river with good salmon runs, especially in lower reaches.
