The Costa Del Sol Region

The Costa Del Sol is probably the best-known holiday area in Europe, for several good reasons. It's in the very south of Europe, and therefore has the best climate of any of the Spanish Costas. There is a huge range of international restaurants and night-life, especially in the Marbella and Estepona areas. Behind the coast, one can find unspoilt "White Villages" and spectacular mountain scenery, and the ski resort of Sol y Nieve, in the Sierra Nevada, is only two hours' drive away, making a day's skiing followed by dinner on the beach quite possible. The Andalucian people are known as the most friendly and "simpatico" in Spain, and English is widely spoken.

There are signs everywhere saying "Costa Del Sol, Costa Del Golf", which is is not tourist hype, but the literal truth. Casa Marissa stands at the heart of literally dozens of international standard golf courses, including the famous Valderama (35 minutes' drive). We are in a very quiet location, yet within 5 minutes’ walking distance of the famous yacht harbour of Puerto Banus, with its restaurants, night clubs, bars and boutiques. At the top of our road, one minute's walk away, you will find La Sala, one of the most exclusive (but reasonably priced) bar/restaurants on the Golden Mile, and every Saturday morning, ,the famous Puerto Banus flea market. Malaga and Gibraltar airports are both 45 minutes’ drive away. There are lots of attractions for children, such as Selwo safari park, Tivoli World amusement park, and the Mijas Aquapark. The unforgettable Alhambra Palace in Granada is less than two hours' drive from Marbella.
The Costa del Sol has the sunniest climate in Europe, and is the number 1 holiday destination for British holidaymakers. There are many towns and villages to visit, and the beach facilities are second to none.

Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar airports. Taxis, car rental and express bus (from Malaga airport) are all available Journey time 40 minutes

There are sunbathing areas by the large heated pool, and also upstairs on a private terrace accessed from the study.
There are 2 outside dining areas and the inside dining room can be opened up completely for shady poolside dining. The barbeque is on wheels, and can be moved anywhere in the garden. There is also a small extra barbeque for picnics etc.

 

Rental Details

We ask for a deposit of 30% of the rental price to secure the booking. The balance does not have to be paid until 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. We don't require any damage deposits. We trust our clients, and have never had any problems. Check-in time is 2pm, and check-out 10am, but we try to be flexible whenever possible. Minimum rental period is 1 week. I'm afraid we can't accept Hen or Stag party bookings. Our properties are all in residential areas, and neither yourselves or our neighbours would feel comfortable. Sorry.
