The Lodge is a two storey house set back from the main road behind private gates. Located approx. 1 km from Bray & 2.5km from the picturesque village of Enniskerry. We are situated in the heart of the "Gardens of Ireland", and benefit from great transport links: Dart(coastal train from Dublin city centre) & the car ferry (UK & France)is located approx. 6 km at Dun Laoghaire and Rosslare , Co. Wexford (for France and U.K. ferries).

The Lodge's accommodation comprises; 2 large bedrooms(sleeps 5, 1 shower room, large open plan livingroom and a separate fully equipped bright kitchen and diningroom. The house benefits from an outdoor BBQ area and we have bicycles for adults and children in addition to plenty of toys and bicycles. We welcome any queries and will be delighted to introduce you to the area.Dublin city is approximately 30 minutes on Dart & Luas (from Cherrywood into St. Stephen's Green). Ballsbridge is approx 25 minutes on Dart from Shankill.
Airport Aircoach travels through Bray to Greystones from Dublin Airport.

The Wicklow Region

Bray is famous for its beach, "Bray Head" walks and promenade which attracts many tourists. A close drive up Ballyman Road takes you to Powersourt Village (one of the prettiest villages in Ireland). Powerscourt House & Gardens & powerscourt Waterfall is located closeby as is Kilruddery House. Mount Usher Gardens are located in Ashford, approx 30 minute drive on N11 (main Dublin Wicklow road). Sugarloaf Mountain and surrounding Wicklow hills are popular for walkers/ cyclists and the beautiful seaside loaction of Bray and Greystones is on your doorstep with beaches, piers and fishing. There are three golf courses on our doorstep (Old Conna, Woodbrook & DunLaoghaire (at Ballyman) and horse riding within a 5 minute walk.

 

Bray Area

Bray has many restaurants and bars and is very child friendly. Bray beach has lots of family enjoyment. The summer amusements in Bray provide fun for the children daily & Bray bowl is located adjacent to the train station. There is a great coach tour "Wild Wicklow Tour". Glendalough, Laragh & Glenmalure are top attractions in the area. There is a summer family day out at "Laragh Fun park"- located within an hours drive. Greystones is a 15 minute drive from the lodge. Dart at Shankill and Bray and Luas at Cherrywood are all closeby. Regular bus service to Dublin and Dunlaoire.

 

Getting There

Bray is a very convenient location to get to by Air, Ferry, Car & Train. The "Aircoach" at Dublin Airport to Greystones in Co. Wicklow passes directly through Bray Town & we can arrange for you to be collected. Ferry terminal at Dun laoghaire is approximately 5 km from Bray and is on the direct train route: Dart. The trains connecting from Rosslare Europort stop at Bray train station twice daily. By car, we are located close to the N11 (main Dublin city centre road to Wicklow/Wexford/Waterford) & M50 (main road linking South Dublin to north Dublin & M1 Motorway to the North of Ireland. Luas from St. Stephen's Green, Dublin travels to Brides Glen stop - approx. 10 minutes drive away. Regular bus service to Dublin and Dunlaoire. Contact us on email stackg@live.com.

The lodge is privately set behind gates & there are beautiful walks in the area including gardensand meadows closeby. There are iding stables located nearby. The beach at Bray is within a 5 min drive and Enniskerry Village and Powerscourt is approximeately 3 km away. Local golf courses and fishing available.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, the accommodation is bright and spacious and benefits from an open plan living area at first floor level. The kitchen is modern and spacious & has all facilities needed for a holiday. The Lodge also has a newly fitted power shower, w.c. at ground floor level between two large double bedrooms with newly fitted beds, and fitted wardrobes. Electric heating (charged locally).
