Harbour View is a small complex of 18 holiday homes on the grounds of the old Golf Links Hotel. It is a quiet holiday village with stunning view over Glengarriff Harbour and mountains which can be seen from the house. The house is surrounded by large grounds with tables and chairs for al fresco dining. The house itself is only four years' old and is in immaculate condition. Glengarriff village is a short 10 minute stroll away.

The Cork Region

Cork is the largest county in Ireland. The West Cork area is one of outstanding natural beauty. Glengarriff is a small, unspoilt village on the edge of the rugged Beara Peninsula, which makes it an ideal starting point for touring the area. Nearby towns and places of interest include Bantry, Kenmare in Co Kerry, with its many bars and restaurants, Schull, Kinsale, Castletownbere and Mizen Head (next stop New York). West Cork is a magnet for sailors, hikers, anglers and foodies.

Glengarriff Area

Glengarriff is a small, quiet village but it does boast some excellent bars and restaurants, among them the excellent Martello. Garnish Island is a must-see, benefitting as it does from the Gulf Stream, it has rare and tropical plant species, unseen anywhere else in the British Isles. The island is a short ferry ride away and provides the opportunity for some seal spotting. Glengarriff also has a wonderful Nature Reserve, with several signposted walks of differing lengths. After a day of activity, the local bars all feature traditional Irish music at night during the summer months. There is a nine-hole golf course one kilometre from Harbour View and a full 18-hole course in nearby Bantry.

Getting There

Fly to Cork with Ryanair or Aer Lingus. Glengarriff is just over an hour's drive from Cork Airport. Take the Southern Ring road and at Bandon Road Roundabout take the first exit. Follow signs for Bantry and then Glengarriff. (N71) Harbour View is just past Glengarriff Golf Club on the right hand side

The house comprises a large living room cum kitchen and a shower room downstairs. Upstairs are three bedrooms, two double, one twin and a bathroom with shower and bath.
