This beautifully restored old barn used to be the winestore for the Vigneron (winemaker) of the village. Access is through a gate form the street into a paved patio area. A ramp leads you to the main door, through which you access the main open plan living area. This comprises a large living room/kitchen/dining room, with a kitchen table to seat 8/10. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, and the living area has a settee, TV and internet access. At this level there are two bedrooms with double beds and shower rooms en suite. Only one of the bedrooms is wheelchair accessible.
A door which can be locked, leads down a flight of stone steps to the lower level which comprses a massive en suite bedroom. This room could easily take a further bed if needed.

The Languedoc-Roussillon Region
The Languedoc boasts over 300 days of sunshine each year. Although temperatures can clime into the thirties during the peak summer months, the winds local to the area usually manage to keep the heat bearable.
The 13c village, situated on the Canal du Midi, which has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, ensures the village is lively and vibrant. The area is steeped in culture, and the nearby towns of Bezier & Narbonne have beautiful old Churches, Art Galleries & Museums, and of course the glorious beachesof Narbonne, Valras and Portirange are only 15 minutes away by car. Or you can pop down acroos the border to Spain in just an hour.
Capestang Area
Within 30 minutes drive you have the Languedocienne National Park, where you can go hill climbing, cliff diving, canoing and potholing to mention but a few of the leisure pursuits on offer. All water sports are avialable at the various nearby ports and there are tennis courts in the village. There is a large sports stadium and swimming pool at Cuxac-d'Aude, less than 10 minutes away. There are well laid out walking tracks, with routes starting within the village, and of course the walking/cycling tracks along the banks of the Canal du Midi are world famous, as are the endless vineyards to explore.
