Costa De Cabanas is located just 3 minutes’ walk from the beach front. Cabanas is one of Portugal's best kept secrets. Quiet and peaceful, yet only five minutes from the town of Tavira. The apartment in Cabanas has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for fresh products, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
These Cabanas Tavira apartments in the Eastern Algarve benefit from the shared pool, with a shallow pool perfect for the children and a jacuzzi. Leading from the living room and kitchen is a large wrap around balcony on three sides with BBQ, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.
With one twin bedroom fully furnished with fitted wardrobe and a set of drawers and bedside lockers, sliding doors leading onto the back balcony . An electronic safe has been fitted for the guests use. Smoke alarm and security screening of the main door are fitted for guests security.
The Cabanas Tavira accommodation is fully furnished lounge/dining room has a double sofa bed, coffee table, TV and DVD player. There is a dining table and seating for 4 people plus there is a breakfast bar in the kitchen. The kitchen is fully fitted with ceramic hob full size oven, cooker hood, microwave oven, fridge, washer/drier, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, iron and ironing board. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, w.c, bidet and wash basin with cabinet and illuminated mirror.

The Algarve Region
The Eastern Algarve is still relatively undiscovered as a major holiday destination and so Cabanas retains all the charm of a little fishing village. Cabanas is full of enchanting streets and is a living, traditional Algarvian community. The village is active all year round. Fresh fish meat and vegetables can all be purchased locally. There are several supermarkets and bank link machines. Splendid beaches, restaurants and a multitude of leisure facilities. Stunning views from the cliff -top walk. Historical sites to visit locally are Estoi (palace), Milreu (Roman ruins) and the nature reserve.
TAVIRA
Cabanas is located just two miles from the beautiful town of Tavira; a bustling fishing port with a variety of restaurants, roman architecture, markets, vineyards and seemingly endless beaches.
Tavira, otherwise known as ‘The Little Venice of Portugal’, in the 1500’s was a port of great strategic importance. The events of that period have left an enduring mark on the layout and appearance of the city. There are more than 15 stunningly designed churches and chapels throughout the city, each with its own story to tell.
Tavira also owes its appeal to the river and its reflections, to the changing nuances of the light and the special atmosphere of a town built on the water’s edge. In Tavira the traditional crafts can all be seen including the distinctive wrought ironwork and the Portuguese tradition of lace-making.
Locally caught fresh fish, grilled on an open fire the traditional way, is an obvious choice in any of the many restaurants combined with the red wines of the region.
Average annual temperatures in this part of the Algarve range from 16° - 31° Celsius, just one of the reasons why tourists from Europe keep coming back.
Cabanas de Tavira Area
Costa de Cabanas is in a prime location in Cabanas, 3 minutes walk from beach front. This beach is accessible by boat, which ferries people to and fro all day long from April to Oct for 1Euro return. The beach has it's own cafe bar, changing facilities & toilet. Parasol, sunbeds, ski and paddle boat hire are all available during the season in Cabanas Tavira.
Located in Cabanas de Tavira the surrounding lands of ‘Aldeia de Forteleza’ are protected by a preservation order allowing this development a guarantee of privacy and seclusion. Cabanas is quiet, yet not isolated, and is bursting with an old-style character that will appeal to even the most seasoned tourist.
Cabanas is a traditional village and you can walk along the palm tree lined road along the bay taking the opportunity to dine at one of the many cafes or restaurants which overlook the sea. The village is also a few minutes drive from the bustling market town of Tavira which is steeped in history and known locally as the Town of Churches as there are 22 churches in the locality! The town rests either side of the river with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants along the beautifully cobbled streets.
Cabanas is also only a 20 minute drive from the Portuguese/Spanish borders and you can drive across the magnificent suspension bridge across the River Guadiana to view a traditional part of Spain where many Spanish choose for their holidays. You can enjoy the best of two beautiful countries in one holiday in Cabanas, Tavira!
There is a Railway Station at Conceirçao (10 minute’s walk from the apartment) from which you can travel the length of the Algarve from Vila Real De Santo Antonio, a historic market town renowned for its linen on the Spanish Border, all the way to Albufeira.
From the station at Vila Real, you can walk to the River Guadiana and catch the ferry which runs every 20 minutes across to the picturesque Spanish town of Ayamonte.
Cabanas is ideal base from which to sight see, play golf or simply enjoy a relaxing holiday within a very friendly community. It is a beautiful place and one to which you will surely wish to return.
Golf:
The Algarve is the most popular golf holiday destination in Europe. With its temperate year-round climate, it offers fabulous golf on a choice of great courses and excellent value for money. The Benamar is just 5 minutes walk from Cabanas. Qunta De Cima & Quinta De Ria are located 6 KM east of Tavira.
The Monte Rei Golf Club is set in the picturesque foothills of the Eastern Algarve, with sweeping views of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
The first of two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses - "Monte Rei North" - will open for play in June 2007. This par 72 Championship course measuring 6567m from the Tournament tees is a truly unique design; with water coming into play on eleven of the eighteen holes, the course features an enjoyable series of eight par-4s, five par-3s and five par-5s in a challenging and distinctive layout.

The property is on the second floor and has a large wrap around balcony on 3 sides....On the balcony outside the kitchen there is a BBQ and table and chairs to enjoy dinner al fresco. On the balcony outside the bedroom the sun rises every morning and coffee/breakfast can be enjoyed.
There is a lovely large private roof terrace with stunning views and the sun all day. Sun beds are available.
There is a lovely pool area with a small children's pool and a large adults pool and a heated(all year round) jacuzzi. We are only 3 minutes walk from the beach. Bicycles are available to hire close by.
Rental Details
Cleaning is provided on change over days. If the booking is for 2 weeks there will be a mid change of bed linen and towels and a light clean. If extra cleaning is required it can be arranged locally and paid locally.
A returnable breakage deposit is required at time of booking of €100 which will be returned within two weeks of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection)
25% Deposit required at time of booking.
The remainder of rental fee due eight weeks before your stay to secure booking.
Smoking is allowed outside on the balcony, please do not smoke inside.
Beach towels are not provided.

"This was one of the best holidays we have had in recent years. The apartment was very well equipped, spacious, light and airy. The balconies were much bigger than the photos suggest with plenty of room for sunbathing in sunshine or shade. We made full use of the excellent roof terrace and the built-in barbecue was an added bonus. The complex was immaculate with a quiet, very attractive pool. The local supermarket was well stocked with good supplies particularly fresh salads, bread and meat for the barbecue. We even found a hardware shop nearby which sold very cheap bags of coals Well Im sure by now you can tell we liked this place LOTS, we are coming back next year!"

"Fantastic accommodation very clean and good decorative order,tastfully furnished.A fab wrap around balcony with bbq that we used every day and a private roof terrace with fantastic views,this is our second year to the apartment and have been to Cabanas over the last 10 years but i would not stay anywhere else now,ideal location to the beach and local shops and restaurants,friendly maintenace people who will do anything to ensure your stay is pleasant and comfortable for me its home from home and i cant wait to return next year."

"Stayed in this stunning apartment with my girlfriend in September 2010. Was perfect for us, the apartment had a very large living area, perfect bedroom with sliding door to the large outside wrap-around balcony. The large private roof terrace was also good for a laydown in the hot sun. Kitchen was perfect as we prepared breakfast & lunch at the apartment. Swimming pool was quiet, large, just what we needed for a relaxing time in Cabanas. The town of Cabanas was also great. We followed the literature left by Joyce at the apartment.. this guided us to all the best nearby beaches aswell as a selec tion of great reccomended restaurants. Hired a car out for the stay, enough parking spaces directly outside the apartment entrance.. Car probably wasnt 100% needed but was nice to have freedom to pop to nearby Tavira for an early evening stroll/drink aswell as the supermarkets. Cant reccomend highly enough. Hope to return next year!"

"A fantastic apartment and location to experience this old Portugese fishing village , with its winding back streets uncovering a host of small locally used bars and restaurants which are mostly used by the locals . Completely unspoilt and a haven for relaxation and chill out time . The apartment is everything and more you could wish for . 3 balconies which wrap around this penthouse apartment give you stunning views over Cabanas and beyond . The top sun terrace comes into its own in the evening as you take a drink up there and look at the stars and if you are lucky as we were you may see a couple of shooting stars . The bbq is ideal for those lazy nights when you just want to relax in your own company with a glass of wine or beer , which you can buy locally from the supermarket and is only a 5 minute walk away through some of the most enchanting little streets where the locals live . The apartment was exceptionally clean and a linen change was arranged by Ken and Pauline who were there to meet and greet us on arrival at the apartment . Whilst we had no reason to contact them during our stay I know and felt that if we had to it would not have been a problem as they make you feel very welcome . The apartment is also ideally situated for the beach which is about 5 minutes away where you catch a small boat which takes you over to the beach . You are also only 5 minutes walk from the main area of restaurants and bars in Cabanas which is again a beautiful place to eat drink . Joyce is very good in making sure you are well informed and will let you know of local taxi companies if you require a transfer from the airport or local car hire companies . She has compiled an exellent information book which you will find in the apartment which tells you everything you need to know during your stay , from places to eat and drink to suggestions for days out if you can tear yourself away from this little oasis of relaxation . You almost want to tell people its not very good so they dont go as once you have visited this apartment and destination you will want to keep it secret to yourself . My wife and I would not hesitate in re booking this apartment and return to one of the best places we have ever been to on holiday . "
