Takis house in Kalavasos village has an ideal traditional village setting for holidays to Cyprus, where visitors can explore this beautiful island, including the many archaeological sites nearby, whilst enjoying the traditional Cypriot lifestyle. Centrally located, approximately mid-way between Larnaca and Lemesos and not far from the sea, this is the ideal place to combine exploring the country with relaxation on the beach. The name Kalavasos originates from the ancient Greek word ‘vassa’ which means woody valley and the village dates back to medieval times. The village was once a thronging copper mining area and the remains of the mines and trains can still be seen. Today the village is an idyllic setting where you can experience the real heart and soul of Cyprus and maybe while away an hour or two over a coffee in the village square, with locals who are always welcoming and willing to sit and chat to you.
The attractive village square of Kalavasos with its coffee shops and taverns, invites you to meet the residents and sample the authentic Cypriot hospitality.

Be dazzled by the magnificent atmosphere created by these nearly 300 years old stone-built houses with their court yards filled with vines and flowers, restored with the philosophy of preserving their external and internal architecture and decorated with charming Cypriot antiques & artefacts.

Takis house consists of several one and two bedroom self catering fully furnished traditional Cypriot apartments. Each apartment is individual with its own balcony or patio for sitting out in the sun or for dining in the evening. The shared pool is within easy walking distance where you can relax in the sun around the swimming pool.

Getting There

DIRECTIONS TO TOCHNI VILLAGE FROM LARNACA AIRPORT BY RENTAL CAR

As you leave the airport follow the signs to Limassol or Lemesos. Half way towards Lemesos the high way B1 will turn into highway A1.
Drive on the high way A1. Turn out on exit 14, sign posted “Chirokitia-Tochni-Psematismenos-Maroni-1000m”. As you leave the highway turn right at the junction, follow the road under the bridge until the next junction at which you turn right again. After passing the petrol station there is an archaeological site and there you must turn right direction Choirokitia-Layia and then immediately left where there is a small church and a sign to Tochni Village. Keep driving straight on until you see the sign for Tochni Tavern, turn right here and then first left and straight up to the car park of Tochni Tavern.

At the end of the car parking area near the fence there is a stair case leading to the tavern/pool area where you will see the Cyprus Villages reception sign. Walking down the stairs you will find our Tochni Tavern and CYPRUS VILLAGES reception. Here you will be met by our representative who will welcome and escort you to your village/apartment. After office hours our reception is open according to your arrival flight time therefore it is important that you provide this information with your reservation.
