The perfectly renovated Trullo Prezioso with private 7 x 15m. pool, lies only 3kms from the centre of the fascinating trulli Town of Alberobello and is situated in its own 2 acres of land, with olive trees, cherrys and almonds all this is surrounded by a most beautiful rural area ideal for walking and cycling (mountain bikes provided). An ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday or a romantic honeymoon in the wonderful region of Puglia at any time of the year, close to the charming towns of Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Noci and Ostuni.
The trullo is composed by:
- A first large matrimonial bedroom with private bathroom with shower, wardrobe, satellite TV LCD and DVD player
- A second bedroom with twin beds
- Bathroom with large walk-in shower, wash basin, bidet and wc. Complete with hairdryer
- The kitchen is situated in main part of the trullo in one of the four alcoves in the dining area, complete with cooking equipment, contain small oven, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board and microwave oven.
- The living room is in the renovated stone vaulted room containing stone fire place, elegant three seater-settee with matching arm-chairs, SKY TV, DVD, CD player, stereo. Italian and international playing cards along with various games and books.

Outside the trullo is a shaded ample terrace with patio furniture and open-air kitchen; sink, hob, work surface and barbecue. Across from the terrace, surrounded by flower beds lies the pool area (200sqm) with sunbeds and umbrella, in the corner of the pool terrace is the outdoor shower. You will also find mountain bikes which will permit you to explore the country lanes or simply ride into Alberobello. Ping pong. The pool is 15m x 7m, shallow end is 1 metre, deep end 2,20 metres.

The Puglia/Molise Region

Puglia is a wonderful area to consider. It offers at least one excellent archeological museum, a host of cathedrals dating back to the 10th century, Greek and Roman ruins, a gleaming necklace of lively fishing villages, one of Europe's largest forests, a chain of medieval hilltowns, and some of the very cleanest beaches and water in the Mediterranean.

Alberobello Area

Alberobello literally means 'beautiful tree' and this is where many of the distinctive 'trulli': Whitewashed cones made of stones, at the top there is a decoration that has some rebellious or magical meaning. The famous white beehive shaped houses of Puglia have come to symbolise the region. In Alberobello there are over a thousand of them.
Their shape is, in part, due to the economic conditions: at the time it was forbidden to build without the permission of the king Ferdinand I of Aragon, he declared that peasants were not allowed to build permanent homes. Since the stones had no cement, in theory they could be taken apart and moved.

What to see

- The historical center with the especially typical quarters called "Aia Piccola" and “Monti”, wholly composed of "trulli" united to groups and lined up along precipitous and circuitous lanes that climb the hill.

- Sant'Antonio church, built in 1926 in the form of a trullo.

- The Trullo sovrano, the only one with two floors, built in the 18th century locates in a small square behind the Mother Church.

- Nearest railway station is Monopoli (www.trenitalia.it) which is about 12 km from the Trullo. Trains come from every major town in Italy. Regional trains are each hour.

Driving on the SS16 toward south (direction to Brindisi), exit to "Monopoli - Alberobello".

Rental Details

Balance is due cash at the beginning of holiday after the check-in with the manager/owner, if you are not able to pay cash, you should pay the total amount by bank transfer before your arrival (cheques and travellers cheque are not allowed).
Due to security and legal reasons law we will check-in only guests who have compiled our booking-form and agreement.
Security deposit (to be refunded at the end of the stay) EUR 500.
Please be sure to leave the house in good condition.
No pets.
Final cleaning mandatory EUR 100.
Intermediate cleaning mandatory for stay more than one week.
Arrival time is mandatory in the afternoon between 4pm and 8pm (unless otherwise agreed). At arrival later than 8pm an extra charge will be applied.
Please advise us of your departure time at least 24 hours before. The check-out must be taken not later than 10 am.
Electricity is billed by use at EUR 0,30 per KW/h.
Bed linen and bath towels available on request - EUR 10 per person.
Extra charge for SKY and mountain bike (4) (if used): EUR 60
Heating - if used - is billed at EUR 100 per week.
