Quinta do Lago Area

Quinta do Lago is one of the most luxurious and exclusive resorts in Europe, set in 2000 acres of unspoilt pinewoods, lush green championship golf fairways and lakes. The resort overlooks the beautiful Ria Formosa nature reserve that leads down to the Atlantic Ocean with its excellent sandy beaches.

Vale do Lobo is a world famous resort set in acres of woodlands and golf courses sloping to the cliffs and sandy beaches. The famous Barrington Sport and Health Club offers excellent facilities, a 30 bay driving range and a tennis academy (visitor memberhip would need to be purchased).

The beautiful blue flag beaches of Ancao and Garrao are situated between the beaches of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. Ancoa beach is situated beside the Vale do Garrao beach heading towards Quinta do Lago. It is a long stretch of sandy beach with good parking facilities. Beach umbrellas and loungers are available to hire. Garrao beach is long and sandy and has a variety of beach bars and restaurants plus watersports during the summer months. The beach at Quinta do Lago is is backed by dunes and fringed with pine trees. There is a choice of bars and restaurants and a water sports centre. There are also lifeguards and good car parking facilities. Vale do Lobo beach is lined with pinewoods and wooden thatched sunshades. Water sports, lifeguards, bar/restaurants and car parking are available.

The area offers many restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. It is just 3 minutes by car from the Bougainvillea Plaza and Quinta Shopping.

 

Getting There

Hacienda is located midway between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. It is approx. 26 minutes drive (17.2 km) from Faro airport.

Barbecue terrace with electric awning, patio furniture and sunloungers. Steps and path lead to extensive gardens and the large private pool. The villa is in a secluded and private position, hidden away to the rear of the restaurant. Neither the garden nor the villa can be seen by restaurant guests who would not be aware of the villa's existence.

Please note that it is possible for the pool to be heated out of peak season during May/June and September/October. There would be a charge of 25 euros per day for this. Heating is not offered earlier or later in the year. We must point out that the pool is a large, irregular shape with a central island and therefore cannot be covered to retain the heat. Therefore the temperature of the pool when heated cannot be guaranteed.
