Situated in a beautiful rural area, the property has its own 2 fishing lakes both approx 1 acre with a good stock of Common Carp, Mirror carp, Tench, Rudd and Sturgeon, jetty and rowing boat on the lake. Fantastic horse riding is available on great tracks in the surrounding countryside, there a steady ponies and more challenging horses to ride! ( prices based on 15 euros/ hr.) We have a lovely private pool to unwind in with sunloungers and a slide for children. Bikes and fishing rods are available for use but maybe limited. Within 10 mins from the property are another 2 very large lakes, 1 with beach, lifeguard and snack bar, boating and windsufing facilites. The magnificent historic Abbaye de Melleraye is visible from the property, visits available. We are 30 mins from Ancenis and the start of the Loire Valley and wine tasting. The Atlantic coast, La Baule is only 1hr 30mins away. There are 2 excellent zoos within 1 hr and the fantastic theme park Puy de Fou is 2 hrs away. Local shops, amenities, great inexpensive restaurants are 5-10 mins away, large supermarkets 20 mins. Our newly renovated cottage comprises of a newly fully-fitted kitchen, washing machine, dinning area,seating for 6 plus highchair, downstairs bathroom with wc, sink and corner bath. Cosy lounge with log-burner, English TV, DVD, CD patio doors onto terrassse with garden furniture, sunloungers and barbeque, private parking. 2 spacious double bedrooms, 1 with double bed and cot, the other a double bed and single bed ( all bed linen included in the price.) Upstairs bathroom with wc, sink and shower. For larger parties we have a modern mobile-home (sleeps 5) also available for rent, the cottage and mobile are completely private, cannot be seen from one another. There is a garden area near the pool for ball games etc.

The Loire Valley Region
The climate can be quite hot in summer. The area has lots of forests and lakes, beautiful walks and rides. The wine tasting routes are only 30 mins from us. Chateaubriant 20 min away was occupied in the 2nd world war and has a museum at the chateau. Alike at St Nazaire naval museum 45 mins away.
Western Loire Area
There are 3 local markets a week, The Abbaye de Melleraye is walking distance away for visits and mass and gift shop, lots of activities, the Fete de Music the 2nd week in June. The Foire de Bere a large fair of agriculture and exhibitions, fairground and live music usually 22nd to 28th Sept
Getting There
There are Ryanair flights to Nantes from Dublin, Leeds, East Midlands and London also other airlines fly to Nantes and Rennes both airports are approx 1 hour drive from the property.
The nearest ferry ports are St Malo, Roscoff, Caen and Cherbourg

A great place to stay, our 2 week stay flew by, the horses and ponies are of very good quality, thoroughly enjoyed it!
Lots to do, excellent horse-riding and fishing, Glenn and Yvonne (hosts) are very friendly and helpfull.
