This is a beautifully located one bed apartment. Having the beach on the doorstep is definitely a huge bonus (if you forget something it takes about 60 secs to go back and get it!!) The apartment itself will very comfortably fit 4 adults, the main bedroom has one superking bed consisting of 2 single beds joined together and there is a brand new luxury pull out couch in the living area. (there is also a kiddies blow up bed for that little one extra, if needed) There is also a brand new large fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer. The terrace overlooks the pool gets lovely afternoon sun, perfect corner to relax and put your feet up. All bed linen is supplied and is of a lovely standard and replaced regulary. It is an ideal holiday for families as the complex, which itself is small, is very secure and the pool has a lovely kiddie section, separate to the main pool. The pool itself is open all year round and is always blue and sparkling clean. The property is lovingly minded by the caretaker and the trees and shrubs are beautiful. The grass area around the pool is perfect for lying out on or sitting in the deckchairs provided. Right outside the door is Vella Beach restaurant, one of the nicest around (only open 2 years) and vella Burger 20mts away for the more casual burgers, salads, chips etc. There is also a little corner shop on the doorstep where you can buy the morning paper, icecreams, beach floats and most anything else, very handy!

Climate: The Sun shines for 320 days of the year. Very comfortable weather whatever season because you're at the sea.
Shopping: At the end of the boardwalk, a pleasant beachfront walk from the apartment, La Mata holds a Market on Wednesdays, very nice, and plenty there to find wonderful gifts to take home. On Sunday there is a much larger market near the salt lakes, really huge and for the serious shopper!
La Mata village also has many historical buildings and a lovely church.
Day Trips: Take a day trip out to the island or a day trip on a glass bottom boat viewing all sea life.
Drive to the salt mines, visit vineyards, drive to Cabo Roig yaught and boat marina, lovely harbour (bring bread for the fish!!) and a very nice place for lunch.
Elche Zoo is another place of interest for all the family and is well worth the day trip, swim with the dolphins is a lovely experience in the zoo.
Drive to Benidorm: Visit Terrimitika Theme park, Terrimitika Aqua Park, Terrimitika Zoo.
Go Karting also available locally and is great fun for enthusiasts, young and old! Do the grand prix.
The famous Torrevieja water park, only ten minutes drive away, is one of the biggest water parks on the Costa Blanca, and is hugely popular with people of all ages.

Getting There
Fly into Alicante airport from Cork, Dublin, Shannon or Kerry or fly into Murcia airport from Cork, Dublin or Kerry. Car hire is available at the airport, we have found that Coys rent a car have been very helpful and reasonable.

Without doubt the nicest outdoor facility of this property would have to be the award winning la Mata beach, with the pool a close second! La mata beach is one of the nicest around and many people come to be on the beach or to simply walk the boardwalk, which extends for miles. A lovely hour (or two!) can also be spent in the beach hut, drinking sangria or eating ice creams, watching the waves. The chips are lovely here, say hi to Maria who runs the hut with her husband. Also, there is a lovely cocktail bar, in between both restaurants, for a cocktail while watching the waves! 5 mins walk along the beach brings you to the Italian restaurant, which serves delicious pizza. Jets skis, paddle boats and banana boats are for hire on the beachfront but they do tend to be seasonal (July/Aug I think)
Rental Details
The rental conditions would be please respect and enjoy the rules of the pool, they are normal rules (no running, floaties, eating etc) but they make for a very pleasant day by the pool when followed by all. If anything happens in the apartment during your stay we have a local person on call for your assistance and he will also leave information, brochures on day trips, tours, places of interest that you might like to visit. The water park is only a few mins away by taxi and we have details and number of a very helpful local taxi driver left in the information pack in the apartment.

The interior of the apartment is very simply and nicely decorated, curtains are of a high quality voile. The shutters are electric. The terrace has a line for outdoor drying if required. The pullout sofa couch is brand new and lovely quality for a fantastic nights sleep.
