The house was built in 2001 as part of a new development of 14 houses in the village of Nohoval. In 2010 the ground floor was newly renovated into an open plan living/dining/kitchen with a back glass wall which fills the room with light and brings the garden inside. There are french doors which open onto a stone patio. Since the back of the house is south facing, this room is filled with sunlight all day. The cooking hob is gas and there is a stylish quartz countertop providing a social place to gather on high stools. The living area has a relaxed feel with comfy sofas and an open fire. The lighting has been designed to give an ambience as required through dimmer switches.
Upstairs has a large back bedroom with two windows that lets in sunlight (when it shines) through bamboo blinds all day, there is a view of the trees and in summer plenty of bird song to be heard. The front bedroom has a bay window overlooking the village, which is quiet all day, except for the odd car or tractor passing. There is a bath which guests are encouraged to use to relax with candles after a nice walk or cycle in the fresh air. There are framed photos and paintings by local artists to enjoy throughout the house.

The Cork Region
Nohoval is located on the South Cork coast off the main Cork Kinsale road. To get to the village you must navigate through winding country roads..it's a village to be found hence the name of the restaurant The Finders Inn! Summer generally starts in April and goes through to end of September, but you must always be aware in Ireland, even in summer the weather can be unpredictable. The village is the central meeting place for locals in the evening at Mc Carthys bar, a real Irish experience. With the airport 20 mins drive away, Cork 30 mins and Kinsale 10 mins away it's a place where you feel far away from the hustle and bustle..but actually your not that far at all!

Getting There
Fly to Cork with Aerlingus or Ryanair. Car hire available at the airport. Ferry available to Rosslare from Uk or France and also Cork from Swansea, Wales. By Car take the Kinsale road from Cork City or Airport, turn left at the Huntsman Pub in Belgooly, follow the signs to Oysterhaven, at the Ballinaclashet crossroads take the left to Nohoval, House is directly in the Village opposite the Finders Inn.
