The Aegean Coast Region

Where to start? First of all the average temperatures for May and October are in the mid-20's C. For those wanting to travel during June to September it's generally high 20's to mid-30's. Historical sites are bountiful here though if you have only time for one it has to be a trip to Ephesus. It is not for nothing it was listed as a 7th Wonder. Close by is 'Mary's House' which is where Mary, mother of Jesus, is said to have spent her last years on this is very tranquil site. If you hire a car there a good number of excursions open to the less well known - though equally historical - sites around this coastline.

For the child in us all there are 2 fairly large aqua parks with plenty to keep the young and not so young amused. These are about 15 minutes from the house if you travel directly there. We've tended to book through one of the local agents who will collect you and drop you back with admission included for a reasonable price. All open to bargaining if you decide to do a couple of trips. A favourite of ours is to take a boat trip for the day with a couple of stop offs for a dip and a meal along the way. Incredible value and a terrific way to view the coastline form another angle.

There are a couple of diving schools here and you can combine a sun holiday with learning a new skill or developing your diving experience. The marina in Kusadasi hosts super yachts, cruise liners and more modest boats if sailing is your preference.


Kusadasi has some terrific markets - a huge goods market each Wednesday is organised in the meandering roads and streets of the 'centrum' whilst the fruit and vegetable market each Monday is a sight to behold, you will want to buy the delicious food even if you would never get a chance to eat it! Value all the way.

Laze back at the pool or ramble down to the beach, the days can be as action packed or laid back as you want. Each time we go we experience another gem as we hope you will.

The pools are maintained to a high standard and the relevant cleaning data is displayed. We would draw your attention to the Pool site rules for your safety and enjoyment. The tennis court can also be used for basketball games and sometimes an impromptu game of soccer. There is a newly refurbished childrens' playground on site and very close to the villa. If you decide to hire a car there is plenty of parking space on the complex.

We can arrange for a cot(s) and high chair should you need one and there is a resident caretaker on site should you have any questions or concerns about the facilities while you are there.
