The Costa Blanca/Valencia Region

Costa Blanca is renowned for the ambient climate. Temperatures can reach in excess of 30 degs. in Summer.
Calpe was originally a fishing village with a harbour protected by the Penon de Ifach. While Calpe was well known to the Spanish and some European countries it is now well established catering for more holiday visitors in recent years.

 

Calpe Area

Calpe is a very popular resort with 2 outstanding beaches which can be busy in Summer. It is very family orientated with plently to suit everyone. The Penon de Ifach is a famous landmark which is a nature reserve. There are stunning walks with superb views along pathways both at the base and upwards to a tunnel which allows access to the rear of the Penon de Ifach.

There is plenty to do and see in Calpe particularly in the Summer months, craft stalls, local markets, fiestas, sometimes firework displays and carnivals. Information can be found on the internet or in the local tourist office.

There are restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and pockets within walking distance. The harbour area has many local fish restaurants. There is also a boat from the harbour area to Benidorm - takes about an hour. Also Bassettes is a water sports area which is just a 5 mins drive away.

 

Getting There

The nearest Airport is Alicante Airport which is about a 50 minute drive on the AP7 heading north to Calpe. This is a toll road. Also Valencia Airport is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive heading south on the AP7.
There is a bus service also from Alicante Airport.

The swimming pools are well maintained and are to the rear of the property. They are not supervised. The grounds of the Topacio 3 can only be accessed by fob key.

The Beach is to the front of this property with access to many restaurants, shops etc.

In July and August films are played on a large screen on the beach. Many water sports available on the beach, pedalos etc and there are kiddies climing frames and other activities on the beach. Calpe and other local areas have fiestas run throughout the year. The Moors and Christians Festival has a parade, a demonstration of a battle between the Moors and Christians and fireworks display in October. Also in October there is a beer festival.

 

Rental Details

The swimming pool area is available all day but there is restrictions at night and local notices advise of the times.
